We respect your privacy. This page explains what personal data we process when you visit www.excelsior-rocks.be, why, and what your rights are, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian law of 30 July 2018.

The data we process
Browsing the website
The website keeps no visit log. To display and protect it, our host and Cloudflare technically receive your IP address with each page request. The server’s error logs may occasionally contain an IP address.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure.
- Recipients: our host, Contabo GmbH (Germany), and Cloudflare, Inc., which protects the website from attacks and speeds it up. Cloudflare may process this data in the United States. It is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Retention: error logs are kept only as long as strictly needed for the server’s security and operation, then deleted.
Audience measurement (Microsoft Clarity)
Only if you accept, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the website is used and improve it. Clarity records your interactions (pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, mouse movements), your device and browser type, and your country, estimated from your IP address. Input fields are masked by default.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the cookie button at the bottom left of the screen.
- Recipient: Microsoft Corporation, acting as processor. Data may be transferred to the United States. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the European Commission.
- Retention: 30 days for session recordings, up to 13 months for aggregated statistics.

If you write to us (at info@excelsior-rocks.be or press@excelsior-rocks.be), we use your name, email address and message to reply.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the requests we receive.
- Retention: as long as needed to handle your request, then 2 years after our last exchange.
Content from third-party services
- Video (YouTube): the aftermovie only loads when you press play, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. At that point YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and applies its own privacy policy.
- Map (Google Maps): the map in the footer is provided by Google. Displaying it sends your IP address to Google, which applies its own privacy policy.
- Social networks: the links to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are plain links. No data is sent to those platforms unless you click.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising or profile you.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access your data and get a copy;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- ask for it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise these rights, write to info@excelsior-rocks.be. We reply within one month and may ask you to prove your identity.
Complaints
If you believe your data is not being handled properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS only. We collect only the data we need and limit access to it to the people who need it.
